Description
Join Alabama's Heroes of music as the world famous Muscle Shoals Swampers are joined by Mobile's own Jimmy and Donna Hall of Wet Willie fame for a once in a lifetime concert event of legends. Ticket sales will benefit the arts program at the (K-12) Bayside Academy. Celebrated in the critically acclaimed documentary "Muscle Shoals" the Swampers have played on an astonishing list of hits from the last half century working with Aretha Franklin, the Rolling Stones, Paul Simon, Bob Seger, Cher, Rod Stewart, the Staple Singers, Etta James, Bob Dylan and countless others. Jimmy and Donna Hall of Wet Willie formed Mobile's most historically accomplished band helping to cement the Capricorn Records Southern Rock movement of the 1970's with such hits as Keep on Smilin', Grits Ain't Groceries, Dixie Rock, Street Corner Serenade, Weekend, and many other Top 100 tunes. Jimmy Hall is known worldwide as a blues power house and the lead vocalist of Rock and Roll Icon Jeff Beck's touring band.
