Description
Walter and Bessie Bellingrath rest among some 100,000 permanent residents of Mobile’s historic Magnolia Cemetery, and the colonnade marking their graves is the largest monument to be found there. Join us for a fascinating look at the cemetery’s history and funerary art, led by Tom McGehee, Director of the Bellingrath Museum Home, a member of the cemetery’s Board of Directors, and a prominent local historian and author.
Magnolia Cemetery is located at 1202 Virginia Street at the corner of Ann and Virginia Streets in Mobile. Parking is available from the main entrance on Ann Street. This event is a fundraiser for the Bellingrath Gardens and Home Foundation. Space is limited. The talk will include refreshments!
Tickets are $25 per person or $45 per couple and must be purchased in advance. To order, please call Angela Strickland, Director of Special Events, at 251-459-8868.
