DESCRIPTION:Eastern Shore Repertory Theatre (ESRT) is thrilled to announce its highly anticipated fall production of the beloved musical\, Annie JR on November 8 -10\, 2024\, at the Daphne Civic Center.\n\nJoin us for a heartwarming and timeless tale that follows the adventures of optimistic orphan Annie as she navigates life in 1930s New York City. With a cast of talented young actors\, toe-tapping musical numbers\, and unforgettable characters\, this production promises to be an unforgettable experience for audiences of all ages.\n\nSet in the Great Depression\, the story centers around the spunky Annie\, a young orphan living in a dreary orphanage run by the cruel Miss Hannigan. Annie's life changes when she is selected to spend the holidays with the wealthy Oliver Warbucks. With memorable songs like "Tomorrow\," "It's the Hard-Knock Life\," and "Maybe\," the musical showcases themes of hope\, resilience\, and the importance of family.\n\nAnnie JR is directed by Erin Langley with choreography by Matthew Kiel.\n\nTickets are now on sale at www.easternshorerep.org or they can be purchased at the door on the day of the show\, if seats are still available. General admission tickets are $20. ESRT productions entertain approximately 15\,000 audience members annually and include the fall show which features a cast of 70 area students aged from 3rd-12th grade and the popular Theatre on the Bluff held each spring featuring performers of all ages.
