Located deep in the heart of the wild Delta\, this ancient tree is the largest of its species in the state and has towered over its serene swampy habitat as silent witness to the passage of centuries. Somehow perhaps owing to its location it escaped the loggers' ax. It is rarely seen in person owing to its remote location\, which requires navigating up the Tensaw and hiking overland on foot.
