This free\, annual event features a variety of family-friendly activities to encourage healthy kids\, healthy families\, and a healthy start to the summer season.\n\n\n\nSponsored nationally by Peanuts and Gatorade\, Healthy Kids Day's mission is to prepare local families for a safe\, healthy\, and fun summer. Featured activities will include bounce houses\, interactive booths\, youth sports demonstrations\, performances\, and hands-on activities from local organizations that support children and families.\n\n\n\n"It is so important for kids to stay active over the summer\, both physically and mentally\," said Marissa Rennaker\, Director of Development for the YMCA of South Alabama.
