DESCRIPTION:May is National Historic Preservation Month also referred to as Historic Preservation Month. The month celebrates the nations historic places. Sometimes historic preservation involves celebrating places\, people\, and events. This month we are celebrating historic places throughout Baldwin County by touring historic sites. Not only are these sites worthy of preserving\, but the stories behind them are\, as well. Everywhere we turn\, there is more to discover.\n\nThursday\, May 27\, 2021. We will:\n\n  10:00 a.m. - Meet at Fort Mims Historic Site - Claudia Slaughter-Campbell\, Local Historian is the Tour Guide.\n\n  11:00 a.m. - Travel North on Hwy 59 to William Weatherford's Grave in Little River (Tour the Gravesite)\n\n  11:30 a.m. - As we work our way south we will see beautiful homes\, in Blacksher\, then visit Montgomery Hill Baptist Church. Montgomery Hill Baptist Church is the Oldest Church in Baldwin County and possibly stop at Red Hill Springs for a refreshing drink   We will hear the history of some of the historic homes and churches in the area!\n\n  12:00 p.m. - Stop at the Stagecoach Caf  in Stockton for Lunch!
