SUMMARY:Oregon Wine Dinner featuring Hyland Estates and Fir Crest Winery
DESCRIPTION:Join our Wine Director\, William Jones\, as we welcome Jessica Endsworth and Colin Eddy who represent Hyland Estate and Fir Crest Winery located in Oregon. Throughout this dinner\, we will taste 5 unique examples of wine from these amazing Oregon estates paired with dishes created by Executive Chef Bill Briand. Colin and Jessica will discuss what makes Oregon such a great area for wine and the geology of this region. Hyland Vineyard: Established in 1971 by four families\, Hyland Vineyard is one of the Willamette Valley's historic wine estates\, originally planted with Alsatian varieties and the renowned "Coury Clone" of Pinot Noir. Situated in the McMinnville AVA on 185 acres of red volcanic Jory soil\, the vineyard benefits from the cooling influence of the Van Duzer corridor and is sustainably farmed with Pinot Noir\, Chardonnay\, Riesling\, and Gew rztraminer. After NW Wine Co. took over stewardship in 2007\, the vineyard expanded and flourished\, celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2021. Today\, it remains a beloved landmark in Oregon wine country\, continuing its legacy of quality\, expression\, and sustainability. Fircrest Vineyard: Surrounded by Coast Douglas Fir trees in the foothills of Oregon's Coast Range\, Fir Crest Vineyard was first planted in 1985. Since 2020\, the 13-acre site has been owned and sustainably farmed by the Moshier Family.
