DESCRIPTION:Have you ever felt that starting a painting was like facing a battle? In this three-day workshop\, Robin will take the fear out of facing that blank canvas and give you an arsenal of weapons to attack it with confidence. We will use our surroundings and utilize many unconventional tools to create beautiful works of art. Robin will be teaching in oils for this class\, but many of the techniques can be applied to other mediums. Class will start with learning a limited pallet and how to mix a full range of colors that blend in harmony. Then we will discuss what makes a great composition and how to head off mistakes BEFORE the paint goes on. Robin will demonstrate how she approaches the challenge of painting outside and give lots of personalized help as each student chooses a scene\, composes and paints each day. Students will go home with a color chart and a working knowledge of the limited pallet\, two to four finished paintings\, and lots of hand outs and extra goodies. Plan for three days of fun and learning! (There may even be door prizes)!
