The event, held on Equality Street, between Bancroft and Section will feature cook teams, live music, demonstrations, and children’s activities. General public admission begins at 2 p.m.
Entertainment will be provided throughout the day and will feature the Nashville band, 12 South. Local musicians will start the day and 12 South will round out the entertainment. 12 South is one of the most sought after show bands in Nashville and the South. They feature multiple singers, outfit changes, dancing and specialized lighting.
Cooking teams will begin cooking Saturday morning and at 11 a.m. attendees will sample each teams BBQ and vote on the people’s choice award.
Proceeds from the event will be used to equip a new quick attack fire truck with hand tools, hoses and lights and to purchase new air packs.
This is the FVFD largest fundraiser of the year. Last year they raised over $30,000 and hope to raise $50,000 this year.
