The James P. Nix Center will host its 5th Annual Volunteer Fair on Monday, January 30 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. in the Nix Center Ballroom. The fair will feature organizations in the Baldwin County area who are seeking volunteers. “With the New Year upon us, many area residents and students are looking for a way to get involved in their community and the Volunteer Fair is a great way for them to find out where their help is needed” says Sarah Smith, Nix Center manager. “The Volunteer Fair is all about connecting those who want to volunteer with those that need volunteers”, says Smith. The fair is free and open to the public of all ages.
The fair will feature local organizations including the Area Agency on Aging, Read Aloud Baldwin, Friends of the Fairhope Public Library, The Haven, The Blake at Malbis, The American Red Cross of South Alabama, Aseracare Hospice, Montrose Bay Health & Rehabilitation, Kindred Hospice, Thomas Hospital Auxiliary, Alabama Cooperative Extension System, Baldwin County Humane Society, Exceptional Foundation Gulf Coast, Baldwin County Child Advocacy Center, Earth Day Mobile Bay, Habitat for Humanity Baldwin County, US Coast Guard Auxiliary, Legal Services Alabama, SELF, Fairhope Museum of History, Comfort Care Hospice, SCORE, Community Hospice, Synergy Home Care, The Brennity at Daphne, Covenant Care, Country Place Senior Living, Weeks Bay Estuarine Research, Daphne Art Center, Baldwin County Master Gardeners, Alabama Hospice Care, Homestead Village, Hogwarts of Fairhope, Visiting Angels Pet Therapy and The Brennity at Fairhope.
