Sam?s Club Brings National BBQ Tour to Daphne

Champion barbeque pitmaster Troy Black will be hosting at the Daphne Sam’s Club at 29683 Frederick Blvd., the next stop on the Sam’s Club National BBQ Tour this Saturday, Feb. 23 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event is free and open to the public and will feature tips, demonstrations and mouth-watering competition from 30 local teams, all cooking with quality meats from Sam’s Club.

The Sam’s Club National BBQ Tour, now in its third year, brings together barbecue enthusiasts in 25 local events and five (5) regional finals, culminating in the National Championship at the home of Sam’s Club in Bentonville, Ark. The total prize purse for the competition, which is sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbecue Society (KCBS, is $500,000, the largest prize purse in competitive BBQ industry.
