Join us at 9 AM on August 7th along Blakeley’s beautiful waterfront for a special program on Delta wildlife led by University of South Alabama biologist Joel Borden. Borden, whose research interests include local amphibians, reptiles, birds, and fish, has extensive experience investigating the Gulf Coast’s rich natural habitat. After introducing some of the park’s plants and animals, Borden will guide us on one of our popular “Delta Adventure” cruises. Departing from the park dock at 10 AM, we will venture into what many call the “American Amazon” to discover one of the most diverse natural habitats in North America. Every one of these outings takes a slightly different course and features unique opportunities to view the abundance of the Delta wildlife, such as eagles, ospreys and, of course, alligators.
