Saturday, April 4, 2020: Easter Egg Hunt and Breakfast with the Easter Bunny at Bellingrath Gardens and Home
Bellingrath Gardens and Home invites children of all ages to join us for Breakfast with the Easter Bunny and the annual Easter Egg Hunt on the Great Lawn on Saturday, April 4, 2020. Thousands of Easter eggs will be scattered across the Great Lawn, and there will be plenty of candy and treats for little ones to fill their Easter baskets.
After the egg hunt, families are encouraged to enjoy other Easter activities within the Gardens. The Easter Bunny will also be available for professional photos, and education students from the University of South Alabama will hold arts and crafts projects for children from 9 a.m. to noon at Live Oak Plaza, where special Easter snacks will also be available for purchase.
There will be four Easter Egg Hunts on the Great Lawn. The egg hunt for ages 4 to 6 begins at 10 a.m. and the egg hunt for ages 7 to 11 starts at 10:15 a.m. There are two continuous egg hunts: One for ages 3 and younger and one for children with disabilities. Both of the continuous egg hunts will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Parents and children are asked to bring their own baskets or bags and to arrive at least 30 minutes before the start of the egg hunt to allow time to walk from the entrance to the Great Lawn.
The Easter Egg Hunt is open to the public. There is no admission charge for members of the Friends of Bellingrath. Regular Gardens admission of $14 for adults and $8 for children ages 5-12 will be charged. Children ages 4 and younger are always admitted free.
April 4, 2020: Breakfast with the Easter Bunny
The Magnolia Café will host the annual Breakfast with the Easter Bunny, with pancakes, sausage patties, fruit and beverages, from 8 to 9 a.m. The Easter Bunny will visit guests at their tables and pose for photos throughout the breakfast. Reservations are required in advance to attend the breakfast. The breakfast is a popular event and seating is limited, so be sure to make your reservations early!
