May is National Historic Preservation Month also referred to as Historic Preservation Month. The month celebrates the nations historic places. Sometimes historic preservation involves celebrating places, people, and events. This month we are celebrating historic places throughout Baldwin County by touring historic sites. Not only are these sites worthy of preserving, but the stories behind them are, as well. Everywhere we turn, there is more to discover.

• 10:00 a.m. - Meet at Fort Mims Historic Site - Claudia Slaughter-Campbell, Local Historian is the Tour Guide.
• 11:00 a.m. - Travel North on Hwy 59 to William Weatherford's Grave in Little River (Tour the Gravesite)
