The Retreat Bird Sanctuary Ribbon Cutting

Retreat Hospice by Saad will have a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the new bird sanctuary and community garden created by The Home Depot Foundation for local palliative and hospice patients. Team Depot, The Home Depot’s associate-led volunteer force, completed a one of a kind in the southeast, bird sanctuary and butterfly garden for hospice patients and their loved ones. Volunteers installed unique birdhouses, bird baths, added plants and flowers to attract birds and butterflies across a hidden10 acre garden and outside each of the 24 private patient guest porches. In addition, a new wheelchair accessible walking path and new benches were installed.
