2nd Annual Charit Chukkers Polo Event Raises $46,400 for Palm Project

The Baldwin County Education Coalition hosted its 2nd Annual Charity Chukkers Polo Event on Saturday, May 2, at February Farm in Fairhope, raising $46,400 in support of Palm Project.

Presented by Shirlee’s Kids Charitable Foundation, the event welcomed 194 attendees for an afternoon of polo, philanthropy, and community celebration. Guests enjoyed an exciting polo match, delicious lunch, tailgating, networking, raffles, giveaways, and a shared commitment to supporting students across Baldwin County.

Proceeds from Charity Chukkers directly benefit Palm Project, a countywide initiative that helps stock care closets in Baldwin County public schools with essential items provided at no cost to students or schools. The program helps ensure students have access to the resources they need to feel confident, supported, and ready to learn.

“We are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make the 2nd Annual Charity Chukkers such a success,” said Terry Burkle, Executive Director for the Baldwin County Education Coalition. “From our sponsors and attendees to our volunteers and community partners, this event is a reflection of what makes Baldwin County so special. Because of their generosity, Palm Project will be able to continue meeting real needs for students in our schools.”

Now in its second year, Charity Chukkers has quickly become a meaningful community event for the Coalition, combining the excitement of polo with a mission-driven purpose. Despite early weather concerns, attendees gathered for a memorable afternoon at February Farm, enjoying the event’s signature blend of sport, fellowship, and philanthropy.

The Coalition extends its thanks to Shirlee’s Kids Charitable Foundation for serving as Presenting Sponsor, as well as the many sponsors, donors, volunteers, and attendees who contributed to the event’s success.

“We are proud to see this event continue to grow and generate such strong support for Palm Project,” Burkle added. “Every dollar raised helps provide essential items to students who need them, removing barriers and helping them focus on learning.”

The Baldwin County Education Coalition also thanks Jenni Guerry Photography and DJP.Photos – Derek Pigott for capturing moments from the event.
