Daphne, Ala., May 13, 2026 – Congratulations to Bayside Academy senior Forrest Smith for being named a National Merit Scholar! Out of the 1.3 million students in about 20,000 high schools who started the National Merit journey, only 2,500 students have won a National Merit $2500 Scholarship. Merit Scholar designees are selected on the basis of their skills, accomplishments, and potential for success in rigorous college studies.
