Under His Wings is seeking missionary minded qualified applicants for the positions of House Parents. Under His Wings is a faith based residential group home in Baldwin County, AL. We are licensed as a basic care facility by the Department of Human Services but are a private placement working with the parents and guardians of the girls. Our mission is to fulfill the great commission by providing a loving Christian home to young girls ages 13-17, connecting them to who they are in the eyes of Christ, and equipping them with life skills essential to wholeness. We achieve this in the provision and strength of God by providing individual, group and family counseling, educational support, and the opportunity to feel safe in a loving home-like environment with dedicated house parents we call domestic missionaries.
The successful candidates will use biblical values in modeling a healthy family as they care for the young ladies residing in the Under His Wings home. They manage the home to create a therapeutic environment which facilitates the attainment of goals established when each young lady joins Under His Wings. Within a structured environment, they ensure a holistic approach to nurturing each child. Additionally, they develop a relationship with each child’s family and help assimilate them into the Under His Wings program.
